Diabetes is a serious medical condition that affects millions of people in the United States. Without proper self-management, diabetes often leads to serious complications, such as heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, blindness, kidney disease and lower-limb amputations.
There is no cure for diabetes, but there are things you can do to help control it.
Rated by U.S. News & World Report as one of America’s and the Detroit metro area’s Best Hospitals for Diabetes and Endocrinology, the Sinai-Grace Outpatient Diabetes Education Program is aimed at guiding people with diabetes toward a healthier lifestyle.
The program is individually designed to help you take control of your diabetes and prevent long-term complications of the disease.
The outpatient diabetes education program is open to anyone with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, newly diagnosed or longstanding. Our educators will work with you, your family and your physician to create your personal diabetes care plan.
