DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is committed to improving the health of our community’s residents. The Primary Care Center offers affordable preventive care, health education and medical management to help our adolescent, adult and senior patients remain healthy.
Our focus is on educating our patients and making them a part of their healthcare team by participating in the plan of care. Many medical conditions can be prevented, managed or cured with early detection, proper intervention and patient compliance. All patients need to have a primary medical provider to assess and manage their health care. The primary care provider will make appropriate referrals for needed services outside of their scope of care.
The Primary Care Center, being a part of the Detroit Medical Center, currently provides educational opportunities for residents from the Wayne State University School of Medicine. These graduate students are required by the organization that supervises medical education, the American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), to treat patients in a supervised clinic setting during one-third of their training. These clinics are staffed by residents, but care is closely supervised by faculty physicians. Under the direct supervision of one of our board certified attending physicians, the residents may provide your healthcare. All of our physicians have privileges at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital.
In addition to providing primary care services, the Sinai-Grace Primary Care Center provides several specialty services.
Our Medical Directors are Gregory Berger, MD, and Raylene Platel, MD.
