New Application Requirements in 2013

Notice: The prerequisites for entering the School of Radiologic Technology will change in 2013.

The new American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) regulation states that candidates applying for certification beginning January 1, 2015, must have earned an associate, baccalaureate, or graduate degree from an institution accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the ARRT.

The degree does not need to be in the radiologic sciences. The degree may be earned before entering the professional education program, after graduation from the program, or be awarded by the program, but must be awarded prior to being granted eligibility to sit for the ARRT examination. The Sinai-Grace Hospital School of Radiologic Technology, in accordance with ARRT regulations, will require all applicants to have earned an associate, baccalaureate, or graduate degree before acceptance into the program beginning July 2013.
