As part of a $4 million investment in cardiac care, DMC Sinai-Grace recently remodeled 3 West, the cardiac patient care unit. Warm, soothing colors were used on fabric window treatments, floors and walls to impart a relaxed atmosphere and enhance patient recovery. Details such as wood paneling and crown moldings complete the upscale feeling. Flat-screen TVs and recessed lighting bring a new, modern look. Staffing ratios are kept at a level that ensures patient care is prompt and high quality. Nurses are specially trained to care for cardiac patients.
