DMC Sinai-Grace is proud to be accredited by The Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. (ACPE).

ACPE is a professional organization for education for ministry whose mission is to foster experience-based theological education grounded in a person-centered approach to religious/spiritual ministry. ACPE training combines the practice of spiritual care with qualified supervision, peer group reflection and access to a variety of learning resources and interdisciplinary relationships.

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is designed to be interfaith, intense and include on-the-job experience. It is actual ministry to persons in routine and crisis events, integrated with seminary classes and post-seminary education for chaplains.

Because of the hospital’s involvement in CPE training, patients may be visited by a CPE resident or intern. All visits are supervised as part of the training program.

Three residencies will begin in September. To apply, contact Rev. Versey Williams or Manager of Spiritual Care Services Judy Schlueter. The deadline for applications is May 15:
