The Internal Medicine Department at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital trains 48 medicine residents and 70 residents from other departments yearly. In addition, approximately 150 Wayne State University medical students and 50 WSU and University of Detroit-Mercy physician assistant students receive training throughout the year.

The Internal Medicine Residency Program has earned a full five-year accreditation by the American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). In addition, the hospital’s internal medicine residents have had a 100 percent graduation rate for the past five years. This statistic puts DMC Sinai-Grace in the top 10 percent in the country and is the only hospital in the state that can make this statement.
